Project description: Simplify Energy was hired by Urban Systems, Lac La Ronge Indian Band, and Meadow Lake Tribal Council to perform energy audits, energy project identification & costing, detailed energy modelling, and GICB application support on a total of five buildings. Simplify Energy’s auditing team assessed each facility’s building envelope, mechanical & HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure & lighting, and control systems to develop deep energy retrofit scenarios that supported GICB applications. In total, our team developed over 40 distinct energy conservation measures (ECMs) to support over 50% energy & GHG reduction on each site.

Project Name: BOMA Best 4.0 Certification & Energy Audit- Canadian Western Bank Place
CWB Place in Edmonton, Alberta. Simplify Energy supported the Redstone Group recieve BOMA Bronze Certification for this facility.

Scope of Work: Simplify Energy Consultants provided an ASHRAE Level 1 energy, water, and, carbon audit, BOMA Best 4.0 questionnaire & certification support, and waste audit on Canadian Western Bank Place for the Redstone Group. Simplify Energy’s team supported the Redstone team with guiding the overall BOMA process, while completing individual deliverables required for the certification, such as the energy audit, waste audit, and questionnaire. Redstone Group & CWB Place received BOMA Best 4.0 Bronze Certification for their amazing management of their facility.

Stoney Nakoda Lake Lodge in Stoney 142, 143, 144.

Scope of Work: Simplify Energy performed an ASHRAE Level 2 energy audit and RETScreen expert energy model for the Stoney Nakoda Lodge to support a GICB application. This project involved an in-depth assessment of the facility, as well as continuous collaboration and support with the client on scope, funding applications, and project deliverables.

Project Name: McCall Court- BOMA Best Energy, Carbon, and Water Audit
McCall Court, a property managed by JLL. Simplify Energy performed an ASHRAE Level 1 energy, carbon, and water audit in August 2024.
Date of Project Completion: September 2024
Scope of Work: Simplify Energy provided Solution 105 Consulting and JLL an ASHRAE Level 1 energy, carbon, and water audit on McCall Court in Calgary, Alberta. This audit investigated all building systems, including building envelope, controls, HVAC, electrical, and lighting. It provided a detailed assessment and pathway to reducing energy & GHG consumption while improving building functionality. This audit was used to support a BOMA Best 4.0 Certification for JLL.
